| Signups continue for youth tackle football league |

Signups for youth tackle football are under way.
The Central Oregon program, operated by the Bend Metro Parks and Recreation District, is open for youths entering grades four through six next fall.
The cost is $110 per player. All protective equipment is provided and weight limits for ball carriers will apply.
The league is broken up into fourth-grade and sixth-grade teams, with fifth-graders over 114 pounds playing with sixth-graders and under playing with fourth-graders. Practices start the week of Aug. 18, and games will run through Oct. 19. Most games are played in Bend and all games will be played on Sundays.
