| Celtic Highland Games set at fairgrounds |

The High Desert Celtic Society will hold its 20th annual festival and highland games on Aug. 9, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
Spectators are invited to come watch the sanctioned highland games, Celtic dancing, hear the piping competition, and tunes of The Wicked Tinkers band, and learn about the different Celtic nations.
Tickets to the festival are $10 for adults, $6 for students, seniors and society members, or $30 for families. Receive $1 off ticket price with the donation of nonperishable food for the Jefferson County Food Bank. Fifty cents from each ticket will go to support a special kids center.
