| Any Time Fitness franchise to locate in Harriman Building |

The Harriman Building in downtown Madras has signed a multi-year lease with Any Time Fitness, a national franchise with over 1,200 locations throughout the country.
The fitness center, owned by Doug Peterman, of Bend, will open in early September when tenant improvements have been completed. Any Time Fitness also has locations in Bend and Lapine.
The new facility will be located on the second floor of the Harriman Building, offering patrons a unique setting of sunsets, sunrises and city life below while working out.
New equipment, the best in the industry, according to Peterman, is scheduled to arrive in six weeks. Many pieces of equipment will have their own flat screen television for personal viewing, along with others mounted throughout the facility.
With 24-hour keypad access, patrons can tailor their workout to fit their busy schedules.
Bringing the company to Madras has been in the works for a couple months, according to Rick Allen, managing partner for the BrickHouse Group -- a group of investors who have teamed up to transform the corner into a business hub.
"The Harriman Building, which will be completed soon, is continuing to negotiate with national, regional and local companies to locate in the heart of downtown Madras," said Allen.
The owners feel the combination of tenants in the building complement each other and will help build traffic in the downtown to other businesses.
Negotiations are continuing on a restaurant for the ground level of the building, and Allen expects to make an announcement soon.
