As the only Jefferson County vendor, EZ Touring Motorcycle Covers had a corner on the market when 7,000 motorcycles rolled in for the BMW rally in Redmond, July 15-18.
Madras resident Betty Cook owns the three-generation business, which she runs with daughter Jody Stewart, her daughter, and Mandy Hernandez, her granddaughter, who are both seamstresses.
Cook said bikers came from all over the world to the international Motorcycles of America BMW rally at the Deschutes County Expo Center in Redmond.
"The is the biggest rally they go to. It was a wonderful show; we sold over 100 motorcycle covers," she noted.
Cook said they sell their EZ Touring Motorcycle Covers in the U.S. and abroad through Internet marketing, and also travel to big motorcycle gatherings in the U.S.
"I've been to BMW rallies in Tennessee, Wyoming, Wisconsin, and next year will go to Pennsylvania, and we also do Honda rallies," she said.
