| CHS baseball season ends with loss |

The visitors wanted an upset win to close out the baseball season. The home team needed a victory to stay at home in the first round of the playoffs.
Kennedy, the home team won 7-3, against Culver to wrap up the 2A/1A Special District 2 season on Thursday.
The visiting Bulldogs scored a pair of runs in the second inning to lead 2-1. The Trojans answered with four runs in the bottom of the second to take control.
The loss left Culver with a 5-9 league record and 11-12 overall.
Kennedy finished at 9-5 in league play, tied with Scio for third place. The Trojans did sweep Scio in the regular season and won a Monday playoff game 4-2. The victory sent Kennedy into the state 2A playoffs, along with a game against Blanchet to determine the second and third seeds from Special District 3. |
