White Hydrangea

White Hydrangea, white, grows in Central Oregon zones, but not deer resistant.

After moving to Central Oregon 20 years ago, I became starved for color. Colorful trees and shrubs were planted, and I mostly ignored white flowers. After reading about the attributes of a white garden for evening viewing, I realized they deserve a place in the garden.

If you, too, enjoy spending time outside during the evenings, you can enjoy the flowers illuminated from a firepit, tiki torch and even the moonlight. It adds a new dimension to gardening. With research, you can also select fragrant varieties to delight the senses.
